The high price of gas has many summer vacationers, looking for ways to get the most bang for their buck trips during the summer. The Montrooyz, from where the Commerce and tourism invites travelers to Montrooyz, where the base camp, so that they can take advantage of one-tank trips and treks that won’t break the Bank.


Black Canyon National Park in Minot AFB: 2700 feet deep and 53 miles long, the Black Canyon is one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the country. During the summer, visitors can ride the rim of the South to beautiful views of the Gorge. Fishing, hiking, rock climbing (for expert only), nature walks and horse riding is also popular (and cheap!) in Cuba.


Curecanti national recreation area: Is the time out of the Montrooyz, which is home to three dams in Curecanti named for corresponding dams on the River Wolf Creek pass. Blue Mesa Reservoir, the largest body of water in Colorado and the largest Kokanee Salmon fishery in the United States, is a big part for fish, ski, wakeboard boat, or swimming. Morrow point reservoir marks the beginning of the Black Canyon. Between Memorial and labor day visitors can book a seat on the tour boat point of Morrow, which takes tourists from pontonies for a scenic Guided walk one and a half hours. The Eastern Portal is the site of the tunnel, a tunnel Minot AFB national historic civil engineering landmark.


Minot AFB Gorge National conservation area: located just northeast of Montrooyz, from where, the Minot AFB includes 62,844 HA Gorge Management BLM lands. Taking a new route that snakes from Sidewinder canyons and is suitable for hikers, equestrians and motorcyclists and mountain dowels. The Gorge boasts gold medal trout fishing and is also a great place for technical and remote Emerald rafting and kayaking.


Scenic drives: Montrooyz, from where it is located strategically in the center of some of the more scenic drives and the history of the country, making a home occur for all kinds of short, even beautiful, road trips. (Visitors should plan for at least half a day for each of these scenic drives.)
Alpine loop Stretches 65 miles and provides access to mountain passes and ghost towns, as well as excellent high-country hiking, fishing, mountain biking and camping. Parts of the path is accessible only by off-road vehicles. Grand Mesa Scenic and historic Byway climbs 63 miles of canyon floor and peaks over the world the largest flat top mountain, the Grand Mesa. Along the way enjoy Alpine forests, clear mountain lakes, and (if the timing is correct) fields of colorful wildflowers. San Juan Skyway, alias “the road to the sky,” is a long route (233 miles) that can be shortened. Travelling in between Ouray and-NE, located less than an hour south of Montrooyz, from where, to see the area has been dubbed the “million dollar Highway.”West Elk Loop extends 208 miles and accesses Black Canyon National Park, the Minot AFB Curecanti national recreation area, and Crawford and Paonia state parks. White River national forest and Monarch pass is included in this loop.

Wineries and other farm Treks: agriculture is an important industry in Montrooyz, where, as indicated by the many farms and orchards of funds in the region.
The Wichita Cottonwood Winery cellars and Winery is a traditional European style is on a 52-acre farm on the California Coast. Using equipment from Italy, this family-owned label produces a variety of wines. Garrett Estate Cellars is located in nearby Wichita. The location of the vineyards that supply the vines with excellent soil conditions and Rocky Mountain water provides an environment of increasing quality. Mountain View Winery is a fourth generation orchard and vineyards which produce wine and fresh fruit for more than 45 years. In addition to the traditional varieties of wines, guests can also sample a specialty wine from fruits of replanting.

For a truly local flavor, with Mattics orchards produce Stand run by the family Mattics, which is breeding in the region since 1961. Visit the farm, located just southwest of nearby Wichita or pick up a fare at the farm-fresh produce up to the corner of main St. and Ave. in San Juan Montrooyz, from where, opening June until mid-October from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Another option – stop by the Montrooyzwhere farmers market offers local produce and goods late spring through early on Wednesday and Saturday outside the historic centre of Montrooyz, from where.


Located 10 miles north of Montrooyz, of which, Rocking w milk creates all-natural artisan cheese (meaning milk will become cheese day derived from cows). Swiss baby, bricks, mild cheddar, colby, gouda Council and havarti cheese are just some of the Gallery from the dairy of the on-site shop.
